Epiphyte Locally rare. Leaf blades folded along mid-vein, flattened in young shoots. Root ball 20cm diam with about 20 rosettes of 2-3 stems each.Growing 1m above the ground,on trunk of Tabebuia heterophylla.. Growing in dry evergreen woodland on dolostone karst. In association with Bursera simaruba, Myrcianthes fragrans,Buxus bahamensis, Calyptranthes pallens, Croton nitens, with Tillandsia utriculata and T. balbisiana
