About This Search Engine
The database is fully searchable in the fields indicated in the pull down
list. There is no need to use a wildcard character, simply enter the text
string that you want to use for the field in which you expect it to occur.
The shorter the string that you search for, the more likely you are to
get all of the records that meet your criteria. Note that plot numbers
often end in letters (e.g. 112A). Also note that the number 12 is part
of 112, thus you need to put a space before "12" (e.g. " 12") to get only
the plants in plot 12. None of the fields are capitalization sensitive.
Please be aware that the database is continually being updated and that
photos are only available for some of the species. Soon thumbnails
will appear in the output list.
